Makanja Research is led by an individual that has been passionate about genealogy for over 30 years and formally educated at Brigham Young University-Idaho holding a specialized degree of Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Family History Research. The Director of Makanja Research is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists, the National Genealogical Society, the New England Historic Genealogical Society, and the Ontario Genealogical Society.  Makanja Research provides a composite of genealogical research services with an emphasis in forensic genealogy and a specialization in repatriation.  

Makanja offers varied genealogical services including analytical research for ancestors or descendants ideal for completing familial lines (direct and collateral), as well as research reports, charts and forms, lecturing, teaching, interviewing, and writing family histories. Makanja makes use of paid-for subscription sites and multiple governmental and privatized databases. A cornerstone of Makanja’s research success involves ongoing education and accessing innovative technological advancements in the genealogical field.
