1. Integrity is at the core of everything we do; we subscribe to The Genealogist’s Code of Ethics from the Board for Certification of Genealogists.

2. We are unbiased and nonjudgmental in our work efforts and in our communication with our clients.

3. We will endeavour to clearly communicate our efforts to our clients and be honest in any communication.

4. We will treat each client, their family and their family history, with respect and humility.

5. All fees and charges will be clearly written out to and authorized by our clients; our clients will never receive a charge for which they were not made aware before the charge was incurred.

6. Client confidentiality will be maintained at all times. Information will only be disseminated when authorized by the client in writing.

7. We will make every effort to work in harmony with all professionals which we come into contact with.

8. Our policy is to treat physical materials, whether modern or aged, in accordance with “best practice preservation standards.”

9. All visits to facilities will be conducted respectfully and professionally, showing the utmost reverence and dignity due each establishment.

10. Sensitive history and related client information will be intimated in a concerned, careful, respectful, and loving demeanour allowing the client an opportunity to digest the information and discuss it in the most objective manner.
